Built by union labor
- More than 1,000 union workers have already logged more than 1 million union work hours on Sunrise Wind.
- We awarded a record $200 million offshore wind supply chain award to Long Island-based Haugland Energy Group LLC, creating more than 400 union jobs.
- Work to construct and assemble Sunrise Wind’s advanced foundation components created more than 230 jobs from the Capital Region to Western New York, representing an $86 million investment into New York’s supply chain.
Investment in Long Island
- $170 million in host-community and PILOT payments to the Town of Brookhaven, which hosts Sunrise Wind’s onshore infrastructure.
- $10 million to help establish a National Offshore Wind Training Center with Suffolk County Community College.
- $5 million invested in a research partnership with Stony Brook University.
